Snoring And Its Impacts

Snoring is one of the common issue that many people are facing, it is due to the blockage of air passages during sleep. It is not only affected your relationship with your partner, it may also be a symptom of more serious health issue. There are many factor contributed to snoring, obesity, aging, alcohol, eat right before bedtime are some of them. According to the research, snoring is more common in adult males than women. Now, lets explore what are the effects of snoring.

When snoring causes sleep apnea, it can lead to a very serious situation, including several diseases. When sleep apnea happens, it will cause cessation of breathing for short periods and it will last for more than 10 seconds for each. Sleep apnea will lower the oxygen level in our blood and blood pressure may rise with continuous sleep apnea.

Relationship stress – The noise of snoring will directly affect the relationship with your partner. If your partner cannot sleep due to the snoring noise, the relationship may become more difficult. While you are having a good night sleep, your partner probably has to wake up over and over due to your loud snoring noice.

Sleep deprivationSnoring will affect sleeping quality, continuous snoring may lead to sleep deprivation that can even affect your quality of life. It may increase your stress level, affect your mood and sexuality.

Demotivation for exercise – Snoring will gets someone exhausted, and does not have additional energy for exercise. Long term, snoring may decrease an overall health condition.

Focus on tasks – Sleep deprivation will cause someone to have difficulty to stay focused. It will affect our daily performance and it might be dangerous while performing daily tasks, driving for example. Besides, it will decrease our productivity as we are unable to focus on our job.
